Aspire Academy Masterplanning

Aspire Academy will be a nursey and primary education institution to be implemented in Bugesera, Rwanda. It is the first of many initiatives to improve the standard of living for the Musenyi-Bugesera rural community. The project aims to achieve this by providing a prestigious education system accompanied by educational facilities to inhabit the young scholars.

The Academy will provide multiple classroom buildings, an administrative office, a student center (also acting as the community Pavillion), and outdoor play areas. The site actively inhabits and will continue to maintain an agricultural field, dedicated to generating food and income to support the long-term operation of the school.

Furthermore, the project will be implemented in multiple phases until the educational facility is complete. The Aspire Academy construction will aim to incorporate the input of the local community resident as key participants throughout the development and construction process. Local builders and craftsmen will assist with providing methods of local building traditional aesthetic, in collaboration with Journeyman International’s innovative design technology.

The project will also incorporate green design strategies such as rainwater harvesting and solar panel usage to provide a sustainable and energy-efficient environment to the children and staff of Aspire Academy
